Ron Gatti from the DNR was here and talked about a study of ducks they
will be during in the Town of Ashford this Spring. Letters will go out
to farmers for their cooperation for this study, he says they will not
trespass on any property owners property if they don’t want anyone on
their land. The ducks they are studying are Blue-Winged Teal. Will
have a slide show for owners on March 10, 2009 at the Ashford Town
Hall, and the ducks they use as bait will be housed by Joe Koch’s
house until the Spring.

Bob Burg and 2nd by Randy Sinotte.
Public Opinion Stan Brath asked why residents got cut-off from taking
sand/salt from the shed. Joe said you can still get sand when the
doors are open, someone was taking large quantities so the Town had to
do something about that. Stan also mentioned farmers use it for
driveways so milk trucks can get in and out. Everyone should be
entitled to the sand in the Township. Joe Koch stated that there won’t
be any pure salt for awhile this year, because the County cut all
Townships, it’s now a sand/salt mixture.
Doug Paswaters mentioned possibly writing up an ordinance in the
future about how much sand can be taken. The salt shed doors will stay
locked for this year and next year try door closed, but not locked,
but Ashford residents can come get sand when the doors are open, the
board will tell drivers to pull the key in the loader, each truck will
have a key to the loader.
Next meeting is scheduled for March 2,2009. Motion to adjourn by Randy
Sinotte and 2nd by Bob Burg.
Respectfully Submitted by:
Tracy Flasch, Clerk
