Reception and Presentation Celebrating Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel’s 40th Anniversary of Public Service Reception and presentation on April 19, 2016 celebrating Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel’s 40th Anniversary of Public Service. The event is open to the public. “We’re excited to honor such an outstanding achievement,” said Erin Gerred, Director of Administration. “To be elected by the residents of Fond du Lac County and to serve them with integrity and dignity for 40 years really speaks to the character of Allen Buechel.” Allen Buechel was elected and seated on the Fond du Lac County Board of Supervisors on April 20, 1976, where he served for 17 years. He was then elected and sworn in as the second Fond du Lac County Executive on April 20, 1993. Buechel is currently in his sixth term, making him the longest serving County Executive in the history of the state of Wisconsin. The reception begins at 5:00pm in Rooms D&E in the City/County Government Center, which is located at 160 South Macy Street in Fond du Lac, WI. A presentation will follow at 6:15pm in the Legislative Chambers.
